The practical layer
Light for what you are doing
Use appropriate general and task lighting where you read, write, make, or work. A small decorative lamp should not carry the room’s safety or task-lighting job.
Living ambience for everyday rooms
A reading nook, home office, studio, or interior room can feel more alive with layers of light. Stormdrop belongs in the ambient layer: a gentle glow that changes as the weather shifts, without asking you to reach for a switch.

The atmosphere layer
A softer lamp, wall wash, or illuminated object adds depth. With Stormdrop, rain can bring a calming blue, clouds a rose glow, and clear weather a different feel as the conditions change.
The personal layer
Choose a location that fits the room and make the colors and brightness your own. The changing weather gives the ambience a reason to keep evolving beyond decoration.
Where Stormdrop fits
Stormdrop is designed as a low-attention ambient object for the spaces you make your own. Place it where it can live in your peripheral vision: beside a chair, on a shelf, near a desk, or in a reading corner.
It can follow the weather outside your window, back home, or in another location you care about. That gives the color a reason to change beyond decoration while leaving the atmosphere relaxed and personal.
Because it shows current conditions through color, it should complement—not replace—the room's practical lighting.
Important limitation
Stormdrop is not designed to treat seasonal affective disorder, regulate circadian rhythm, provide therapeutic illuminance, or replace professionally planned task and safety lighting. If you need light therapy or have health concerns related to light exposure, use an appropriately rated product and seek qualified guidance.
