Stormdrop Weather Lamp
Current weather from a place that matters—without another screen.
Stormdrop is a focused ambient weather lamp. Choose a meaningful U.S. ZIP code and it turns the current conditions there into a quiet color story for a desk, shelf, or room.
What it follows
Current weather at a five-digit U.S. ZIP code you choose.
What you see
Gentle color changes for conditions such as clear skies, clouds, rain, snow, storms, and temperature extremes.
How it connects
A companion mobile app and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
What you control
The represented place, brightness, and customized weather-color scenes.
What is inside
A custom Stormdrop circuit board and seven individually controlled LEDs.
Where it stands
A private friends-and-family pilot; Stormdrop is not accepting orders or payments yet.
The experience
Made to be noticed, not managed.
A weather app asks you to look. Stormdrop is meant to live at the edge of attention: the light shifts as the weather changes, letting the room carry a small trace of the outside world.
The location does not have to be where the lamp sits. It can represent home, a favorite getaway, a campus, a cabin, or the ZIP code of someone you miss.
Stormdrop does not display radar, a multi-day forecast, or detailed measurements. It is not a weather station or a general-purpose smart-home hub. Its job is narrower: make current weather ambient and personal.
