Compatibility matters

Confirm the network before counting on the lamp.

  • A supported phone and the Stormdrop companion app are required. The current private pilot uses iPhone and Android builds; final public OS and version support remains open.
  • Setup requires compatible 2.4 GHz personal or home Wi-Fi.
  • Stormdrop does not support captive-portal sign-in pages or enterprise authentication.
  • Dorm, campus, apartment, hotel, and workplace networks may be incompatible. Confirm the recipient or buyer controls a compatible network.
